Where to Shop Vintage and Second-Hand in Paris
My favorite vintage stores in the City of Lights
One of my favorite ways to explore a new city is by going vintage shopping. Over the years, this has become a meditative ritual that helps me ground myself in unfamiliar and sometimes chaotic situations. It’s also a great way to get a feel for the place I’m visiting and the people who reside there.
But, because Paris is teeming with vintage stores, it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start.
Chains like FREE’P’STAR offer very affordable pieces (around €5-€25 ish), but I tend to avoid these stores. They’re overcrowded, sell counterfeit designer items, and, frankly, the smell is overwhelming. (I’m sorry, but it’s true.) If you must go, try their Rue de Rivoli location—it’s cleaner and less crowded. 🧼
On the other end of the spectrum, there are opulent designer shops like Valois Vintage with very expensive designer bags and niche stores like Kanelle Vintage, where a nightgown can cost up to €400. They’re nice to browse, but I think there are better deals to be found on Vestiaire Collective and The RealReal.
My ideal vintage experience falls somewhere in the middle. With that in mind, here are all the vintage stores I’d recommend visiting when in Paris:
Antirouille is a small vintage store located in Opéra. This is one of my absolute favorite vintage shops in Paris. They offer a meticulously curated selection of vintage eyelet button-ups, wool blazers, trench coats, and leather boots. Prices are very reasonable, and if you're lucky, you might even find a vintage Burberry trench coat for around €200.

Another favorite of mine is The Vintage, located on Boulevard du Temple in the 3rd arrondissement. This is my go-to shop for vintage Levi’s 501 jeans, which the store specializes in. (I also highly recommend SON ET IMAGE if you're on the hunt for vintage Levi’s in Paris.)
Right around The Vintage, there’s a cluster of vintage designer shops. My favorites are Claravintages, Nice Piece Vintage, and Marie Olive. Claravintages offers a great selection of Old Céline, Alaïa, and Courrèges, while Nice Piece carries rare finds from designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Comme des Garçons, and Chanel. Marie Olive, meanwhile, has the best selection of vintage Yves Saint Laurent I’ve ever seen in person.
Then there’s Bobby. The store is currently making its rounds on TikTok, so the crowd here is on the younger side. Regardless, there are a lot of vintage designer and non-designer goodies to be found at Bobby.

If you’ve been researching vintage stores in Paris before reading this guide, you’ve probably already heard of Thanx God I’m a V.I.P. If not, it’s a vintage shop with a huge inventory of both vintage designer and true vintage non-designer items. Right next door is Louise Paris, a neat little second-hand store offering gently used designer pieces from brands like Chloe, Celine, Chanel, and Hermès.
Lastly, if you’re stopping by Les Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, Le (Re)Store is also worth a visit. This second-hand shopping area is located on the third floor of the department store and features a handful of smaller vintage vendors as well as Les Galeries Lafayette’s own consignment shop. Here, you’ll find everything from a vintage unbranded silk scarf to an Hermès Birkin bag. All items are in mint condition and priced fairly.
I’ve linked all the stores mentioned above, plus a few extras you might like, in this map:
